This illustration evolved a lot. It actually started as a "draw this in your style" challenge but all I ended up keeping was the color scheme from the original. 

I knew I wanted to draw some narwhals. 😆 As I worked on this, I imagined a research expedition to the arctic to study whales. The teen, Wendy (my mom’s name) tagged along with her dad and discovers that she has a gift- the whales are naturally drawn to her. "Wendy the Whale Whisperer". 

I’m really happy with how this one turned out! I’ve been working on client work for several months, and this was the first piece I had done for myself in a while and I really loved the experimentation.
